Facility Assessment and Valuation
Review and assess the status of the club’s physical assets,
with respect to the condition of the golf course, clubhouse,
maintenance equipment, irrigation system, roads and parking
areas, sanitary and water systems, etc. Provide a report
with recommendations on short and long term capital expenditure
requirements.
Renovations and Expansions
Work
with the Club’s Ownership or Directors to develop and implement
a renovation or expansion program that is best suited to meet
the clubs future needs. This includes working with the
club to crystallize a vision and master plan, hire the appropriate
consultants through an “Expression of Interest or RFP”
process and basically work with the club to ensure the plan
is implemented in a manner that maximizes value within the club’s
budget and minimizes disruption of play for business activities
during construction.
Turf
Management
Provide recommendations with respect to the hiring of agronomic
or turf management consulting services. PERSIMMON has
worked with, and has access to many of the industries leading
turf management specialists and can work with the club to
ensure the latest management and practices are being implemented. Up-to-date
turf management practices are critical at a time when this
area of the industry is coming under so much scrutiny and
criticism.
Playability
PERSIMMON
will assess the existing facilities and report on issues that
may be inhibiting current and future playability trends, specifically
related to growth opportunities in the industry. Persimmon
will report on course issues that may be impeding speed of
play or limiting the clubs ability to expand the number of
rounds.
Maintenance
Review
and assess the maintenance program with the golf superintendent
and turf management department and make recommendations respect
to enhancements that should be made to the course that will
maximize the efficiency of the maintenance department. Provide
input on ideas for extending the playing season and ensuring
the return of play after prolong periods or heavy rainfall.
